Zeke's graduation was on Monday, May 16th. It was held in the Mariucci Hockey Arena on campus. The ceremony itself was okay - it didn't drag on too long. Of course there were only maybe 15 PhD students and then hundreds of MBA and MAcc students to pass out diplomas to. The older kids handled it well, but Matias and Nicolas were pretty restless and Nicolas only wanted me - so we spent plenty of time walking around. After the ceremony was over, we took a bunch of pictures outside and then headed to the Carlson School for a light reception and met up with Myles Shaver, Zeke's other dissertation advisor. We relaxed in the afternoon and then went to Buca di Beppo for a delicious graduation celebratory dinner. It was a fantastic day and I'm really so proud of Zeke and all that he's done in the past 5 years! He is even more officially now: Dr. Exequiel Hernandez- but still not the kind of doctor that helps people - (haha inside joke)!!!
This is a video of all of the graduating students walking in to the arena. Zeke is the 9th PhD student in line - at one point in the video he waves up at where we were sitting! The password is: zeke
the older boys kept themselves busy coloring
