Mark & Serena's Family came to visit!

We had so much fun with Mark and Serena and their family when they came to visit! It's only about a 12 hour drive from where they live, so they're now our closest family :). We hung out at home, went fishing in our pond, they got to see a Cardinals game and we also went to the zoo and the arch! Serena was also a huge help for me - helping me clean and cook - it was awesome. The kids had so much fun playing together and Hendrik raided our books and read the whole "Hunger Games" trilogy. Here are the pictures I took from their trip.

this is a deceiving picture - Nicolas was happy until they made me get off the tiger and stand next to him - he cried the entire ride

Miriam and Lucas on the other hand loved the whole ride (Matias didn't even want to go - he sat on the side with Zeke)

the penguins were very entertaining to watch - a lot of them were diving and swimming

they had an indoor exhibit of penguins too

later in the evening, Mark, Serena, Hendrik, Zeke and Lucas went to a Cardinals game so I got to hang out with the kids at home
