Tito's Visit

Zeke's brother Tito was able to come visit last weekend (Feb 13th-16th). It was planned pretty quickly and when we told Lucas he couldn't stop talking about how Tito was coming on Friday. Every day he kept talking about all the things he wanted to do with him and how excited he was! Tito got in super late on the 13th. On Saturday, we went to the Children's Museum in St Paul. We didn't realize it was opening day of the Clifford exhibit so it was even busier than usual, but it worked out to our advantage in that they let Tito in free on our membership. It's fun to see how much Matias loves the museum now that he's walking and explore and do more. His favorite area was definitely the water. After the Children's Museum, we went to Candyland for some yummy treats and then went home for Matias to nap. While Matias was napping, Zeke took Tito to campus to show him around. And then in the evening we went to the Midtown Global Market to hang out and to get some yummy ethnic food - I shared some Middle Eastern food with Zeke and Tito got Mexican. On Sunday we went to church in the morning and later in the afternoon Zeke, Tito and Lucas went on a drive around the St Paul campus and then to downtown Minneapolis and the famous Spoon and Cherry. On Monday, Tito's flight left in the early afternoon so of course we had to take him to the Mall of America! On the way there, we also stopped at one our favorite lakes - Lake Calhoun. Lucas was scared to walk on the ice but Zeke and I took turns going out on the ice with Tito. I kept teasing Tito that he was going to fall -- so of course it was me that fell! At the mall we played in the lego area for a bit and then Lucas and I got to go on the "Log Chute" ride! Lucas was so excited to go on the ride! I thought he might get a little scared before actually going, but he had so much fun and thought it was so cool that we got wet. After the Mall, we took Tito to the airport. It went by way too fast, but we had a great weekend with him and are so glad he came! Here are some pictures from the weekend.

Lucas didn't want to be the turtle so we compromised by me getting in the turtle shell and him laying on top!

I love all the lego sculptures they make - it's pretty incredible

Lucas and I are in the exact center of the picture - we're waiting in line for the ride!

You can just barely see me - this was right after we came down the last big hill

Pretty wet after our ride!

somehow I caught Zeke with his eyes closed - oops
