Another hike and more

on Saturday (Sept 3rd) we went to a Cardinals game - the Business School at Wash U got a party suite. it was great to have access to air conditioning and all the free food - and best of all, we won

yesterday morning (Sept 5th) we went on a hike at Babler State Park 

it was a perfect morning for a hike - sunny and in the 70s;
so nice compared to the heat wave and temps in the 100s the few days previously

there were some walking sticks left at the beginning of the trail that the boys got to use

sitting down for a snack!

like our last hike, Jonas slept the whole time

Nicolas didn't hike as much this time, but he still did a good job when he decided to hike for a few minutes - especially with crackers in his hands at all times!

this morning Matias went to his first day of preschool at Lucky Lane Nursery School!
it was so cute - he woke up on his own, got all dressed, put on his backpack
and came into our room at 7:30 announcing that he was ready to go to school!
it was nearly impossible for him to wait until 8:45 when we left.
he also kept saying - "mommy, don't worry about me" as I was reminding him to be a
good listener and to have fun and all those motherly things you say
before they start school.
i seriously can't believe he's almost 4.
