Halloween

Halloween this year was a lot of fun, especially once Lucas and Matias made up their minds and decided to be Martin and Chris Kratt from "Wild Kratts." Thanks to Christa and her amazing skills in planning a Wild Kratts party for Emmett back in April, all I had to do was make new tanktops and their costumes were ready to go. Somehow I never got a picture of Zeke and I, but we also dressed up as characters on the show: Aviva and Zach. Aviva is the brains behind all the different creature power suits and Zach is one of the bad guys. Since most people don't know Wild Kratts very well (even though it's an awesome show!!!), I made nametags for Zeke and me to wear. Most people didn't know who Lucas and Matias were dressed up as either except a few people at our ward Trunk-or-Treat. Here are pictures of the characters from Wild Kratts and then pictures from our different Halloween celebrations.

Our first Halloween party was a members-only morning at the Magic House (Oct 24th). There was trick-or-treating at different parts of the museum and free doughnuts and drinks. I didn't get any pictures while we were there, but I took pictures of the kids once we got home.

Jonas got to wear the leopard costume that all the boys have worn!

Nicolas was Spiderman - the costume is a size 4, it's so big on him but he loves to wear it!

Matias is Chris Kratt - he has a bear creature power disk on
(Christa and Mitch designed the disks - so awesome!)

On Friday (the 28th), we had a ward trunk-or-treat. During the party, someone had set up a big white sheet so everyone could watch Game 7 of the World Series.  I didn't get any pictures at the party because it was so dark outside. Zeke and I had fun back at home watching the Cardinals win the World Series - go Cards!!!

Saturday morning (the 29th), we went to Soulard Farmers Market downtown and afterwards we walked around downtown and saw the aftermath of the excitement from the night before

this sign was in the CityGarden

On Sunday (Oct 30th) we carved pumpkins and had our friends the Blasini's over for dinner.

On Monday, both Matias and Lucas had Halloween parties at school. Thanks to two different friends that came and babysat, I was able to go to both parties.

Later in the evening, our neighbors the Steingberg's and Ochenski's had a Halloween/Birthday party. Between eating and taking the kids trick-or-treating, we didn't get to stay very long and it was hard to meet new people because it was so dark. I did get to meet the Mosby's though. They are the family that used to live in our house and they are still very good friends with the Steinberg's. It was kind of strange to meet them but they seem like great people.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
