We made it to St Louis!!! We got here the evening of June 1st after an uneventful drive down from Minneapolis. We stayed at a hotel and got to move into our house on June 2nd. Our neighbors have been so wonderful - so many have stopped by to say hello and introduce themselves. We've met a few other kids, one that is the same age as Lucas (his name is Ty) and our neighbors right next door have a swingset they said we can use whenever. In the afternoon, Zeke and Lucas unpacked almost the whole truck by themselves (Lucas really did help a lot!) and in the evening our new Bishop and the EQ President came by to help with the very few heavy things we own. Our Bishop is in the same department as Zeke at Washington University (Todd Zenger) and it turns out that the EQ President - Dave Reese - and Zeke served their mission together in Argentina! We're slowly settling in while dealing with crazy heat/humidity and an infestation of cicadas (that only come every 13 years). I have lots of pictures to post of our fantastic friends in Minneapolis before we left, Zeke's dissertation defense and graduation, our trip to Lutsen and then pictures since we've been here of the St Louis Zoo and our neighborhood, but first my crazy need to go chronological sends us back to the end of March... They should go quick though, I promise! :)

one Saturday afternoon (March 26th) we found a fun park near the Mall of America
even though it was super cold, Lucas and Matias both loved riding their bikes
Nicolas was obsessed with this bridge and kept walking back and forth on it
I don't remember why he gave me his grumpy face, but it's still cute :)
Lucas even tried a little sledding but it didn't work out too well
heading back to the car - we were all freezing

I flew home (on my birthday!!) on our regularly scheduled flight while Zeke stayed behind to do the inspection of our house
I got Lucas and Matias some St Louis gear
My mom and the boys made me a delicious cake for my birthday and we got Indian takeout for lunch
taking Grandma to the airport - thanks again Mom for taking such good care of my boys while we were gone!
