Lucas is a typical boy in that he loves anything and everything with wheels--trains, cars, planes, trucks, etc. Along that line, he loves riding his bike and also riding in our bike trailer. Last week when he was riding his bike, he really wanted to pull our red wagon behind it. Since it wouldn't magically attach itself, he was getting quite frustrated. Then the light bulb turned on when he noticed a bike with a long bike lock and thought that he could use the bike lock to attach the wagon to his bike, kind of like using a rope. Well our bike lock is actually a U-lock, but using that idea, it still worked! Then Zeke took it one step further to make it work even better by simply removing Lucas' bike seat, putting the wagon's handle over the bar and then replacing the bike seat. Lucas was so excited about pulling his trailer and was even more excited when he could pull his brother around too. Perhaps this is the beginning of an engineer...but I like to think of it as simply a determined and creative 4-year old at work.
